Village Harvest is creating a new series of "how to" videos and articles to demonstrate how home tree owners can pick and donate their own fruit. These will be posted as we film them through the fruit seasons - and here's our first video, on apricots!

This is a "Director's Cut" with our thanks to videographer and producer Doug Kreitz of Midpen Media Center for quickly turning a filming session on a warm morning a week ago into a guide for home tree owners. We'll complete the video soon but wanted to post immediately before all the apricots dropped this year,

If you are fortunate to have an apricot tree in your yard, most food banks and pantries are very grateful to receive fresh fruit and produce directly from home gardens. Your extra can become much-needed healthy food for people right in your community, and it's also good for your yard, your tree and the planet.
